December 2020 my photography re emerges thanks to my fiancee getting me a Canon Eos 4000d within a couple of weeks I had used money given to me for Christmas to buy a second hand Sigma APU 70-300 zoom my discovery of an artistic side of me was under way.

I quickly picked up a mentor, whom I shall respectfully not name, but there are plenty of mentor schemes out there.

Lockdown 2020 opened up the opportunity to do a couple of courses which introduced the concept of responsibility to me

This is one of my favourite shots of mine, but what do you see? I’m not going to tell you what this shot is about because some of you will see one thing some of you another.

If you’re interested in seeing how my portfolio has developed then go to Facebook and my page is at Surman1972 or @RsPictorial on all 3 major social media platforms

The other side of photography is #Editing, some say its cheating other say its #art. Let me be clear I change nothing, I may delete a blemish or Crop the shot, but I do play with levels

  • Contrast
  • Black
  • White
  • Highlights
  • Shadow

and much more, I’m currently learning to use Lightroom to great effect my mentor tells me my work looks much more #professional

Well I still have a lot to learn and all the links take you to Amazon where you can purchase the mentioned goods

Well bye for now
