The developing story

This all started due to a random #conversation I had with my fiance in October 2019. “I’d like to get back into #photography!” Is all I said.

Well imagine my utter joy at opening my #Christmas present from her, to find a Canon Eos 4000d in my parcel.

Little did Lou know what she had started, the #camera was going everywhere with me and people were liking what I do. My #photos are viewable @RsPictorial on @twitter and Instagram and Surman1972 is my page on @Facebook

R. Nash once told me to concentrate on one subject, well here it is and the reason for the new profile.

Learning the ropes

I’ve learnt a lot, especially during #lockdown from Erica Harris and Mark playle, thank you both.

Erica taught me the basics, #theruleofthirds #leadinglines and #vanishingpoints amkongst other things and Mark reinforced the rules and taught me that they are guides not hard fast laws.

Finding my niche

People will always even subconsciously give you there best, paint on a smile or pose or be posed by the #photographer.

Where as #Animals are honest, they can’t give you their best side, they can’t be posed you just get their character, warts and all. My life long love of #dogs makes them my chief target
